In my opinion all is good in
these encounters, I think would be right if the students might participate of
encounters before the English Conversation course

2. I could improve my listening and speaking skills. All the
encounters were wonderful and I could practice my speaking, in my opinion, it
is necessary students practice "questions" because students just
answer question. Tutor need to check if students know how to ask a question, it
means grammar, etc.

Estos encuentros son una
buena herramienta para practicar y mejorar el speaking. Si se incluyeran desde
el primer curso de ingles del programa sería un buena estrategia de
aprendizaje.
4. The positive aspect is that we can learn so much about pronunciation
and the negative one is that if we commit a little bit mistake when pronouncing
we lost some points and I think that we need more opportunities when commiting
a little bit mistake. Thanks...
5. "Peter is a good English speaker. His accent is not standard
American English, but I am sure that all students can benefit from listening to
him; especially in advanced courses. Not all Colombian teachers can help
students the way Peter can in terms of listening and conversational skills.
On the other hand, Peter can improve his teaching skills. At first, when we were supposed to have debates, he used to ask ""What do you think about ...?"", so we were not really debating. There was no moderator. There was no timing. I had the chance to have a debate with Henry Carvajal and it was a completely different story.
I have to say that Peter was a better teacher at the end of the encounters. He stopped asking ""what do you think about the video?"" and started to follow a proper class structure. With some more teaching training, I am quite sure he could do a great job at the university.
About the quizzes, I was able to understand all of the audios proposed, but some of the questions were ambiguous. The last quiz, por example, was a tricky one. I took it twice and I could not get a 10 as a score. The quizzes on Moodle had spelling mistakes, too.

Pienso que lo positivo es
interactuar con el tutor y compañeros, las correcciones de pronunciacion, lo
recomendable seria que acesoren al estudiante tomar este curso al final de la
carrera
